Summary: The Play On Con app does not collect, transmit, or share any personal data. There are no accounts, no analytics, no advertising, and no tracking. Anything you create in the app — saved sessions, reminders — stays on your device.
Who this policy covers
This policy applies to the Play On Con mobile app (“the app”) for iOS and Android, published by Widget Corner LLC (“we,” “us”). It does not cover the Play On Con event itself, the convention’s website, or any third-party services you might reach through links in the app.
Information we collect
None. The app does not require an account and does not transmit personal information to us or to any third party. We do not use analytics SDKs, advertising SDKs, or crash reporters that send data off your device.
Schedule data
The app downloads the convention schedule from a public source so it can work offline. This is a one-way read; we receive no information about you when this happens beyond what your network connection inherently exposes (such as an IP address visible to the hosting provider), and we do not log or store any such information.
Location
Location use is opt-in. If you grant the app permission, your device’s location is used only to display a “you are here” indicator on the venue map. Your location is never transmitted off the device and is not stored between sessions.
Notifications
Reminders are delivered as local notifications, scheduled and fired by your device. No push notification server is involved, and we do not know which reminders you have set.
Data stored on your device
The app stores the following on your device only: the downloaded schedule and map data, your saved sessions, and your reminder settings. Uninstalling the app removes this data.
Third-party links
The app contains links to third-party services such as Discord. When you follow such a link, you are subject to that service’s own privacy policy. We are not responsible for the practices of third-party services.
Children’s privacy
The app is rated 13+ and does not knowingly collect information from anyone, including children. Because the app collects no information at all, no special handling is required.
Changes to this policy
If we ever change what the app collects, we will update this page and update the effective date above. Material changes will also be noted in the app’s next release notes.
